Support Veterans for #GivingTuesday

This is a stressful and uncertain time for all of us and it can be difficult to remain positive, but there are indeed silver linings in difficult situations, and the American way is to step up and help.

We are asking you to step up and help us maneuver through this national challenge. COVID-19 has intensified the need for our services, as the vulnerable veterans we serve were already experiencing challenges due to benefits and compensation having been denied to them. Predictably, the current situation has exacerbated these challenges. With the support of donors like you, we can rise to the challenge without any sacrifices to quality and timely services, as we represent more veterans than ever before.

Just prior to DC closures in March, we launched our highly successful pro bono legal clinic exclusively for women veterans at the DC VA Medical Center. This clinic (one of only 3 in the country) is staffed by female TVC volunteer attorneys in a space exclusively accessed by women veterans. We worked closely with the VA and the DC VA Medical Center to recognize the barriers to access for women veterans and to find a solution to provide legal services in an environment where they felt safe. Due to our donors’ support, we can successfully continue to support this clinic and our other pro bono legal clinic virtually.
